Running an event in Chico, Oroville, Paradise, Orland, Red Bluff or anywhere nearby? Send it here. Listing is free. Before anything goes on the calendar, we check every submission against the organizer’s own page, so please include a link to it.
What We List
- Public events in Butte, Glenn, Tehama and Plumas county towns we cover: festivals, concerts, theater, talks, markets, parades, car shows, runs, holiday events and outdoor outings.
- Events with a date, a place and a page of their own on the organizer’s or venue’s website.
- Prices exactly as you print them. If no price is posted, we show “See event page”. We only say Free when you do.
We do not list private parties, sales promotions or events we cannot check on a public page.
Send Your Event
What Happens Next
- We read the organizer’s page you link and check the date, time, venue and price against it.
- If something is unclear, we may email you a question. We use your address only for this event.
- Once it checks out, the event joins the Chico events calendar, its town’s area page and the calendar feeds. If the organizer’s page does not confirm it, we do not list it.
Spotted a wrong date or a cancelled event already on the site? Use the Contact page; corrections go first. Our Editorial Standards explain how we check.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it cost anything to list an event?
No. Listing on It’s Chico is free, and we do not sell placement on the calendar.
How long does it take to appear?
It goes up once we have checked it against the organizer’s page. We do not promise a set time, and nothing is published automatically.
Why do you need a link to the organizer’s page?
Every event on this site is checked on the organizer’s or venue’s own page before it is listed, and each card links back to that page so visitors can confirm before they go.
Can I submit an event that repeats every week?
Yes. Put the pattern in the date field, for example every Saturday in March 2027, and link the page that lists the dates.
